Once you’ve designed your Kanban System, you’ll sense the need to focus on the complex demands of a multi-stakeholder organizations, and to explore how to keep momentum beyond initial improvements realized from a successful Kanban implementation. You can address the need for better products and services leading to higher customer satisfaction and business performance through the sound management and understanding of the upstream practices offered by Kanban.

Kanban for Design and Innovation (KDI) teaches the tools and techniques to successfully build and maintain end-to-end Kanban systems with special focus on creating and improving the upstream design and innovation function.

Attendees will build on their knowledge form the Kanban System Design class and get hands-on practice developing an upstream Kanban board, gain experience running a STATIK workshop for upstream development, be introduced to the Kanban Maturity Model, take part in exercises in turbulent flow and failure demand, and apply learning through real-world case studies.

Kanban Management Professional classes are highly interactive courses that lay the foundation of the principles and practices of The Kanban Method, an evolutionary approach to change. These courses have been created by leading Kanban experts including David J Anderson.

The course follows the official KU Certified Kanban syllabus. During the two days, you will have ample opportunities to discuss and experience the following topics:

Prerequisites

  • To attend this KMP II class, you will first need to complete the 2-day, Kanban System Design (KSD) course.
