STATIK stands for the System Thinking Approach To Introducing Kanban. You apply this approach to model and understand the business environment. The STATIK method focuses on collaborative workshops for practical analysis and creating Kanban systems. It also places much value on boards.
During this one-day interactive workshop, you will learn about the Kanban Method, its principles and practices, and how to improve your Kanban proficiency. The fundamentals of visualizing various types of work and the associated risks, how to design and implement a Team Kanban board and how to proceed to the next level with Kanban.

Topics Covered

The workshop follows the official KU Certified Kanban syllabus. During the two days, you will have ample opportunities to discuss and experience the following topics:

  • Understand STATIK, its purpose, and benefits.
  • Practice performing the STATIK steps in my context.
  • Discover classes of service with their corresponding policies for their own Kanban systems.
  • Explain what type of information needs to go on a ticket, and why.
  • Design tickets suitable for the Kanban system which helps workers involved in making good pull decisions.
  • Name a typical pattern for modeling specific cases like non-sequential work, different types of work, blockers, etc.
  • Apply suitable patterns to design a Kanban board that closely models the workflow, item types, and other elements at hand.
  • Construct the Kanban system based on information attained during the workshop.
  • Address and solve sources of dissatisfaction with the Kanban System design.
