Your next step to becoming a coach is to learn how to utilize advanced concepts of change management and sociological concepts to address the underlying resistance common in many organizational cultures. Learn how to refine and iterate your Evolutionary Change Canvas to include aspects of your organizational culture including resistance by individuals and groups. Understand and practice how to overcome change plateaus while avoiding the all-too-common aspects of overreaching when considering organizational change. Practice the six escalating steps to increase the motivation for change.

This course has been created by leading Kanban experts including David J Anderson and is intended to extend the coaching skills of those who have already taken the Kanban Maturity Model (KMM) class and want to obtain the Kanban Coaching Professional (KCP) credential. The KMM together with the Kanban coaching principles and practices provides the full playbook of current Kanban coaching techniques.

Topics Covered

The course follows the official KU Certified Kanban syllabus. At the end of the course, you will be able to apply the Kanban Coaching to drive managed evolutionary change in an organization. During the two days, you will have ample opportunities to discuss and experience the following topics:

  • A refined Evolutionary Change Canvas or set of canvases that support your ongoing evolutionary change work within your organization.
  • The ability to identify and prepare evolutionary change experiments to address the sociological factors that will likely affect your organization’s maturity over time.
  • How to reflect both normative and structural change in your organization.
  • The ability to identify the right leverage points to maximize the chance of successful evolutionary change.
  • The skills to approach leaders with relevant and pragmatic guidance.

  • Kanban University’s certified training curriculum and teaching methods were created through the collaboration of leading experts and validated in hundreds of training classes around the world.
  • You get pragmatic, actionable guidance you can implement in your organization next week – because it doesn’t require permission, a large budget or getting others to change.
  • You will receive training from an Accredited Kanban Trainer, who has experience teaching and coaching Kanban within several organizations.

 

What You Get

  • You will receive training from an Accredited Kanban Trainer, who has experience teaching and coaching Kanban within several organizations.
  • You will receive a KC certificate of course completion from Kanban University (KU) as well as membership of KU. The Certificate is for lifetime and doesn’t need to be renewed.
  • Participants completing both the Kanban Maturity Model and this class and who are also Kanban Management Professionals (KMP) are eligible to take the credential exam to earn the advanced KCP Credential. Credential candidates must successfully pass the Kanban Coaching Professional exam with a 75% passing score. There is no fee to take the exam and unlimited attempts can be made, however there is a 10-day waiting period between each attempt. Upon successfully passing the exam, a $500 USD (PPP adjusted if applicable) credential fee is payable in order to receive the KCP Credential.
